Just wondering if anyone else uses these for beaver work. Probably my favorite trap for ADC work. The trap weighs a ton and does a great job of drowning in marginally shallow water. I wouldn’t go out and buy a dozen just for beaver but I had them handy and cougar complaints are few and far between so I thought I’d give them a try. Now I’m hooked!

Definitely a heavy trap, never used any.
But do use Harris wolf trap on Beaver, rear foot them.
And yes work good for drowning set.

Let me sugar coat this

The Bridger Braun #9 is definitely a heavy and well-made trap. For my summer wolfing, however, too much "reach" (distance between pan and closed jaws), and catches wolves too high on the foot (leg). In my opinion, it's a "leg-hold" trap rather than a "foot-hold".

Yes. With pans cut smaller. They are almost big enough to completely eliminate misses and toe catches on back feet in situations where any foot placement guiding or blocking spooks PhD beaver.
I do about as well with my similarly but more heavily modified ts-85’s, so I am not sure the brawn’s are worth the extra money in most cases.

I just paid $140CA apiece for mine, I don’t wanna get them wet! Lol
Never event thought about using them for beaver, like Gulo said, the jaws have a huge reach. Some were able to pull out of an off set 750 so I tried the beaver 750. Works great but I’m going to try ts85 this fall. The trigger and pan set up on the 750 is kinda weird for me to set.
