What's the fix other than solitary?
Out of curiosity I put cayenne pepper on the tomatoes they had been nibbling on. Haven't touched another mater in two days.

Chickens in the garden is a non starter. They'll eat everything they can reach. Ducks and geese are fine as are guineas. Chickens and turkeys will eat anything.

Ducks and geese will eat produce too. I've had to fence them out of the garden along with the chickens.
A regular ol' chicken wire fence should do the job, Gary.

I thought that about the ducks too until they stripped every leaf off of every pepper plant I had in 2 nights. Bad ducks.

My chickens just got into my cherries and raspberries. The Guineas don't bother them but the chickens are wearing out their welcome fast!

I have nothing clever to put here.

i fenced my garden off out of necessity. I want to free range my chickens and have a garden. They would eat everything they could reach. We used a temporary fence (the thick green plastic construction fence) for a while until i could upgrade to a better fence. Glad i did.

Believe it or not, it only takes 1 or 2 low strands of electric fence to control chickens. You can train them as chicks.......easiest, but adults learn too.........to stay inside a hot e-fence. Then once trained, you can use the same fence for crowd control to keep them out of places you don't want them to go.

A single strand is ideal, as easy to setup and maintain. Should be 3 to 4 inches off the deck. Low enough they don't go under, and at right height, they will step on it to go over. Will eventually get popped hard on bottom of the foot, and after that, they don't cross it. Could hop over, but most won't. I think they fear what happens when they come down.

Black pepper and cayenne works for rabbits too.
Lightly mist the plants with water...then pepper em kinda heavy. They'll leave em alone

IF IDIOTS GREW ON TREES THIS PLACE WOULD BE AN ORCHARD !
