I have three business. I pay everything with a cc that pays me between 2% and 5% cash back on every purchase. Gas is 5% cheaper at every pump. Because I pay my cell phone bill with a cc, the cc company gives me free phone insurance up to $600. I've used it twice for phones that found the bottom of the Mississippi river. Be smart, disciplined, and use them to your advantage. It's better than paying with cash.

Like has been said, self control about not going above your means and paying it off every month. They have a lot of benefits if you can handle yourself. You get cash back on purchases. Also, I’ve had online deals go bad and the card company just stops/refunds payment…you really can’t beat that!

With that said, nothing in life is free. Vendors get charged a fee when they take payment by credit. I’d say most have that fee already baked into the price. Others charge the customer an extra fee when they charge the purchase vs cash. And I’m sure many do both.

Coonman there is a fine line between enjoying your money and hoarding it , money is just a tool for doing business , years ago a buddies young son asked if he could make a living fishing and he said it depends on how you want to live

ST you've got it figured out doing something you love to do and learned how to make a living at it and that is outstanding IMO.

Try sending your payment certified mail. In 1980 we bought our first home, a year later they sold our contract to a different company. Same deal my wife would send the payment a week before it was due and we would get a late fee. I called them and they said they only posted payments once a week so our payment would be there but not processed.
I asked an attorney what we could do he said send it certified mail then you have a legal document they received payment before due date
