Readying myself to purchase some pallet forks for my compact tractor. Appears to be a hundred different brands out there. Ive been eyeballing some 4000lb capacity forks from Titan manufacturing...debating on 48 or 60 inch forks. Whos got forks on there tractor and what brand did you go with..?

The 60” forks get in your way, more than the times than you would need them.
Also make sure you don’t get the ones that hinge on top. Get the ones that are fixed an adjustable

I'm following this. I started looking at forks for my Kubota L35 about a year ago. I still haven't bought any. My big hangup with the clamp-on tubular designs is the thickness or height of the forks. Most are 2" or more.

My main use for them would be moving live edge slabs around; from the trailer to where they get stickered to dry and from the stickered piles to the shop after they are dried. My stickers are 1.5 inches thick so the tubular style forks would be of little use to me.

The solid, tow-motor style forks taper to pretty thin but I haven't found them in a clamp-on.

Eh...wot?

Lugnut, Ive got two neighbors that swear once you have forks, theyll be on the tractor 95% of the time. I rarely see their kubotas but what they are wearing the forks. If that holds true for me, I think Id be better off with dedicated forks rather than clamp-ons. There sure are a lot of options for tractors these days....

I just took another look around the internet midlander and there actually are a variety of the solid, tapered type forks available. They are about twice the cost and up of the tubular design. That must have been what stopped me from buying them last time I was looking. LOL

Eh...wot?

I have two sets: 42” and 48”. Much prefer the 48” set. I wouldn’t want anything longer though. I also have two different frames. One lets me see where the fork ends are much easier than the other one does. If would suggest putting the frame on your loader before buying if possible. Your seat height, loaded arm length, and frame design all affect how well you can see where the fork ends are when you’re trying to slide them under the load. If you have to raise yourself off the seat to see where the forks ends are, and your tractor seat sensor wants to kill the motor you’ll be very frustrated. Just me opinion based on experiences with different frames.

Thanks Eagleye, sure seems to be a lot of uses for them.

Here I thought the tractor was going to be the big expense, but these attachments are going to add up...Lol I just picked up a Bush Hog Rotohog 72" tiller a couple weeks ago. Its doing a great job on my food plots.

It may depend how big the tractor is. Some people might like 60" forks . 48" forks came with the farm so that's what I use.

Search auctions near you. Especially consignment auctions. Several manufacturers/distributors sell new attachments monthly at these. Just know what you’re bidding on and what’s it’s worth including the buyers fee. Sometimes the auction prices are ridiculous. Other times there are real deals to be had.

Do you ever wish you had 60inch forks? My tractor would handle either, but I worry about them getting in the way like others mentioned

Appreciate all the input..

I just use my hay spear. The spears are spaced to fit a standard pallet and rated for 2500 pounds which is more than I would want to lift with the tractor. I have 2 pieces of pipe I slide on if I need something longer.

Got fork attachment that will work on my tractor or skid steer. 48" I believe. It was parts and pieces from a old fork lift I bought on a auction and just remodeled a bit and added a quicktatch plat on it.
