Fellow Trapper & Snare Men.
Just out off curiosity: did anyone of you ever noticed a difference in effect of dips like FormulaOne when tap water instead of rain water is used for its dilution?
I just wonder if the mineral content of tap/ spring water vs rain water (ie destillier) may make a difference in dips‘ effectiveness.

Water type won't bother anything. Probably not a good idea to use saltwater though.

Only thing you might do is to let the water come up to room temp as cold water won't thin the formula one as well.

I just went out and bought a gallon of latex paint cut It with a gallon of water out of the tap(city water) and dipped about 60 160s They turned out great. The freaking paint cost me $49.50.
And I still have enough paint left over to dip another 100 or so 1 1/2s . Whats a quart Of F 1 cost?

Bout 68 dollars a gallon. For last 15 year I have been mixing 2 to 1. So a gallon of F1 makes me 3 gallons. You can always add to what you have. Bought 1 gallon years ago. Just now bought more cause I was haveing to Turn a MJ 600 Sterling it get it dipped. I trap every day. And 3 gallons will get me 3 years or more ? So 70 plus shipping ? Is ok with me

If you can cut F1 with water It must have a latex base. So Is It more then just latex paint?' Some One told me It's a product called net Coat. One type of Net Coat Is petroleum based the other Is Latex based.
