I've faced many, one I'll mention is dealing with my daughter's cancer.

I had to make the decision to remove both parents from life support, plus bury my youngest son in 6 months period of time. To say I'm really, really tired of funerals, is an understatement.

Not to demean your extreme personal dilemma, and how you are fraught with anguish by it, but clearly pistachio is the no-brainer choice.

Saying goodbye to my mother as she died of pancreatic cancer. As we buried her I had to say goodbye to my longtime friend who was dying of brain cancer. All in one weeks time. That took me awhile to get over. My wife and I got thru it together. A lot of tears to say the least. My mother was 69 yrs old. My buddy was 48yrs old.

To date, it was the day I finished they 8th grade and I moved away from my home to live with a farm family from Denmark so I could work take care of myself. Hard yes, but turned out for the best for me. Got a whole different perspective on life.

Hasn’t happened yet. Upon reflecting on the life altering decisions this thread initiated, they have been forced on me without any real thought or contemplation of my own.

I think getting married to the right person is one of life's biggest decisions. You really need to know the other person or you could be walking into a world of anguish.

My wife and I spelled out our wishes in case of life support, so our kids don't have to make that decision.

Remaining calm and dignified when you know 4 guys murdered your brother in law while attempting to comfort your wife and we wait for Gods justice as there is not always justice on earth.

I had to take my daughter off life support, also. That is a tough one.
