I'll echo Sharon's comment. Amazing where the wrens choose to call home. I obviously don't have any photos (kinda impossible to get at) but I had house wrens a couple years ago nest inside (down through the foramen magnum) of a cow skull I had hanging on my woodshed. Thanks for posting that, beeman!

Shot a riot ball through the siding on my shed thinking I’d scare the neighbors cat back to its own zip code I did not think it would penetrate the siding at 30+ yards but I was wrong. LOL Wrens have made the hole bigger over time. After I’m done rebuilding the deck on the house the shed siding gets finished next. I plan to replace that siding with built in wren holes higher up on the walls to accommodate multiple nesting spots I need to look into their social habits to see what works the best for them. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/07/full-18408-182952-img_2931.jpeg)

I have them nesting in my potatoe patch. Cool little birds.

Jack I remember that , Jack. I watched that wren with great happiness when all your biologist, scientist, and friends had that get together and came to see you two. That was one of my highlights of my visit...aside from you both.

I was out working in the yard and noticed all the sticks in my bird feeder. I was going to toss the sticks until I looked inside and say the nest with those little eggs. When I cam inside I happened to turn around and noticed mama bird jump inside to care for her eggs. HA HA HA!! They own that Feeder now!!!
God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.
