Nessy you don't have to be fancy all the time.. looks good! I had a pepperoni sandwich. The kids and wife is at vbs, and I didn't feel like cooking just for me.

Yesterday was an omelet made from eggs from my chickens, buckboard bacon we made, and chanterelles that I picked from our woods.

Nessie they are the top white ones called a white bush scallop cultivated by Indians in the 1300s they are good maybe the best in my opinion

Last Summer, I saw patty pans at the Amish produce auction I go to. I didn't know what they were until now, thanks. The person standing next to me asked me what they were and I told her they looked like some sort of decorative gourd. Only 1 person bid on them. They got a half bushel of patty pans for 25 cents. If i see them again, I'll buy and try some.

The other thing I saw last year, that only 1 person bid on were ground cherries. They got 6 pecks for $1.50 total. I asked them about them after they won and they gave me one. It tasted surprisingly good. I expected it to be astringent like a tomatillo.

I almost bought some green squash like thing called a Cucuzza that was like a folded over baseball bat. It had to be close to 4' long.
