I picked 12 of these but have no clue on who made them. I presume they are for a pocket set for raccoon. They are two sizes, 3 1/2" base and a 4" base, well built and comes with and extra set of triggers to make it a push or pull type configuration. It also uses a tool to help set them. There is no name on them and I can't find any information on them in the trap collectors books. Is this some sort prototype? Any info would be appreciated.

i think they were manufactured in the dakotas somewhere, but not sure. i remember them advertised in "the trapper" paper. intended for fox and coyote, to be used down a dirt hole. i dont remember them being available for very long.

That's them Paul, thanks! I thought that's what they might be but thought they where called Limb Savers vs Lamb Savers. Not a very good trap in my opinion but that's just my 2 cents worth. Any idea on value?

2 different sizes made. Shows $25 - $30. I haven't seen to many of them in this country. Fixed my post, I looked up the wrong trap. Sizes made a #1, #1 1\2.

They usually run $25 - $35. There is an one with an oval base that runs in the $100 range.

Guys, I wrote something up on these unique traps a long time back. David Maue from North Dakota made this traps. Like Scott, I caught fur in them a little different to work with but effective.

Interesting. They came with interchangeable triggers for push or pull and a tool for setting them. A few even had the previous owners tags on them.

Wish I had the setting tool, setting by hand is a bit tricky
