Just so you know, I do a lot of floor stripping and waxing. I tried zep wax, a couple weeks later the church asked me to redo it, it looked terrible. I had to redo the 1100$ floor. It's the only time I had to in 35 years of doing floors. My opinion is it is a very poor quality wax. Also when floor wax is exposed to the outdoor climate, it deteriorates For those that do dip in Zep, do you have a recommendation which floor wax to use on traps?

This is my 3rd year dipping my traps in Zep floor wax and am please with the results so far. No known refusals and usually get 2-3 years before I need to re dip. I also like the fact that I don't have to deal with hot wax. If your concerned about odor then store your traps in a tote with grass clippings or something that the wax will soak up the odor from.

I’m going to try and get them dipped soon then let them hang outside until season starts

No real reason to wax over the paint, at least not the first yesr.
