Catalpas are very cool looking trees and of course they produce one of the best fish baits out around - the catalpa worm. Learn all about both in this video. I tried a little different style with this video, let me know what you think.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks, Anthony

I love your vids! I've looked at our local trees before and haven't seen any "worms". I believe the rot resistance, as I have burned it before and it pops like hedge.

You the man, Anthony! Thought I knew a little about catalpa trees, but you smoked me! lol. I had an old friend, now deceased, that built fur stretchers out of catalpa. Have no idea why, but he always came to the Ks convention with a load of them. I thought the wood was a bit hard for pinning, but if you used nails, would work fine!
Thanks for the vids!

Nice video. Transplanted 3 worm trees from my brothers property to my place, they have had produced worms for the last 15 years. Froze about 12 jars of worms 5 years ago, and use them year round.

One funny note. Our little city park, is full of catalpa trees. To date, I have never seen a worm there. Good thing, because we have activities there all summer long. I can just imagine the look on grannys face, when one of those fell onto her plate of food, on the forth of July celebration! lol

Another good one Anthony. We have quite few Catalpas around Southern MI, I've never been able to find any worms though. Thanks for another informative video.

I rarely find a catalpa out in the wild here in KY, there are a few places that have them, but they are few and far between. There are plenty planted though, and some of those trees are loaded with worms every year.
