Always have had a couple around the farm. Every farm out here uses them. Never heard of an accident but sounds like many have.

Never been hurt by one yet but they do some funny stuff that handle will jack itself down if the handle drops just right.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Got the pleasure of using mine again a bit ago in 100 degree temps. I keep the bar sprayed with graphite so it doesn’t hang up.

I’ve got one and we use it with an over abundance of respect. Dad always called it a suicide Jack. Know several people hurt pretty badly from them.

Jackall's and chain boomers. Handy as the is long but both can ruin your day as well. I think the old ones were strong. I can't say I've ever been hit by the handle but it becomes tricky act when the pins get bent and the springs get weak and a guy has to operate the pins manually. My dad was a junk collector so I got lots of experience with stuff that don't work the way the should. The apple didn't fall far from the tree as I'm sure my boys will confirm. Lol

I think I was about 12 years old, helping Grandpa change the wheels on an old grey Ferguson tractor. Full weight was on the jack when the handle didn't catch and hit me under the chin. Don't remember getting carried to the house. I do remember waking up when Gramma put rubbing alcohol on the cut under my chin and spitting tooth chips.

I watched my father get a nasty split on his forehead once while using a handyman. Physics is fundamental!

It seems plenty of people have either experienced or observed what I observed! LOL.

Knew someone who used one, and the pins didn't set. Clicked down and up couple times, flipped pipe up in the air. He looked up just in time to stop it with his face.

For by grace are you saved by faith, and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
