It was a sheer pleasure to attend this convention. The temperature was a nice break from the oven I'm going back to. I got to visit friends from when I lived up here. I also got to renew friendships with trappers that I only see at conventions. What a great bunch of people that put this on. Thank you Roy, and all your tireless volunteers. Ya'll did a wonderful job, and it is enormously appreciated. The crowd was very good with over 4,000 through the gate. I sold out of most of my beaver lures, and I brought a lot. Again, thank you to all those who made this the success it was!

Hard to get most guys to get microphones close to their mouths. Best advice for most handheld mics is to eat the mic
I really wanted to go back to my truck, get my can on PB silicon spray and spray the crap out of that fan motor

Thanks for the beaver food lure Paul. ‘‘Twas my first NTA convention and I’m already looking forward to South Dakota. I asked these 2 jokers what they thought about Duke 850s cuz I saw them a really good deal….lol ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/07/full-56418-183954-img_1160.jpeg)

A great convention! Christine and I enjoyed visiting with friends and making some new ones. The Michigan trappers put on a great show. Missed couple of vendors Saturday morning that I wanted to see, but it saved me money lol.
Paul, it was great visiting with you again.

My wife and I had a great time! She was my driver everywhere we went (I recently had knee surgery and wasn't supposed to drive). Trapping conventions are not her cup of tea, but she got to meet some fantastic people this week. The U.P. Trappers association lead by Roy did an outstanding job of setting everything up and making sure it ran smooth. The "Trolleys" going back and forth was a blessing for me with my "gimp" and for those carrying bundles. Escanaba and the surrounding areas has so much to offer, that's one reason it's a great place for a convention.
Thank you all who worked so hard for so long to make this another successful convention!

Sorry, that wasn't me carrying a 660. This is probably the first convention where I never bought one trap. Lots of other stuff, but no traps.

Nice job to the Michigan crew for hosting the NTA from our perspective as tailgaters. Enjoyed the couple of demos I attended and finally had a chance to briefly visit with Heimo and Edna. Shared with him I'd shown parts of the film Braving Alaska since it came out in the early 90s to thousands of sophomores in my biology classes 'til I retired. Thank-you Michigan trappers for bringing them down here. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/07/full-353-184078-heimo.jpg)
