I don’t remember if I had one of it looking at me. I found two pics of him when I was searching. This was the other.

I have many other pics of fox looking at me. But they were all different.

About Nov. 2003 I had moved from Unalakleet back to Nome. 3 trapping seasons in Unk. had got me more into snaring. I quickly picked up the ins and outs of snaring fox around Nome. There were always plenty around there, tho some years more than others. I had also found the taxidermy market and was getting good money for fox. Dorsal skin with feet still in. Frozen and shipped Express mail to lower 48 buyers. I was off to the races every winter after that. I'll throw in a few pics. Took me a while to find pics from almost 20 years ago!

the last one was out of town and maybe before I moved to Unk.
I'll try and round up a few more.

I always love harvesting the colored fox.

Season opened Nov. 1. Started with the ATV and set snares in the tracks. You could ride thru brush or grass and make an easy trail for the fox to follow.......and a good place to set!

Then the snow would come and the snogo made the trails:

I was working nights and would check sets to and from work at the airport. Much of that was in the dark:

Was also trapping with a pard outside of town on the weekend.

Here's one from in an RBG:

I also did some fox snaring during trips to Emmonak. The YK delta is loaded with reds. The Emmonak dump was open but with wilows all around. Didn't need to make trails there. There were so many fox they made the trails. Don't know where those pics are!!

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
