I’ve become more of a predator and furbearer hunter after starting trapping a few years ago, and always wanted to shoot a bear. I’ve bought bear tags in PA for years, hunted hard some years, and never had the opportunity to harvest a bear, always seeing them out of season, and quite a few within bow range. Anyways, went to Idaho last spring and killed an absolutely awesome bear with hounds. Then last fall had a small male run thru opening day of bear rifle and killed my first ever PA bear. So now it’s about shooting a big boar with a bow this year in my home state. Here’s my Idaho and PA bear from last year. Waiting on both rugs and my Idaho bear skull still. Hopefully soon. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184253-img_2535.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184254-img_3937.jpeg) I’m no bear expert, but the few pics I’ve gotten on this farm, it looks to be a good size bear. Honestly until I see them in person they are very hard to judge. I added a pic of myself for reference, I’m 6’1” ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184248-img_5434.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184249-img_5435.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184250-img_5469.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184251-img_5470.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184252-img_5472.jpeg) If you got bear trail cam pics you want to share, It would be awesome to see them and what you think they weigh. Or share pics of bears you harvested and known weight.

Looks like some nice corn fed bear there. This one’s harder to tell, average or a touch bigger I think. The cams been investigated by the buggers a couple weeks ago so it’s tilted. Have to cross a couple swamps to get to it. The corn fields start about 2 miles from this cam, it’s in the thick bush. The corn is always a gong show, full of bear & coons. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-56418-184258-img_0209.jpeg)

I'd say that bear is 220_240 on the hoof. Kill him if you like him. ![smile smile](/forum/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif)
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

That Idaho bear is a beauty! Thanks. He was a toad. Be hard to ever top him. Here’s a pic of him from the side. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184257-img_2560.jpeg) Here’s two I got pics of behind my place. The one isn’t much bigger than my lab but the second one I have no idea. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184259-img_4987.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-49413-184260-img_5002.jpeg) The bear in the bottom picture would have my attention.
