I know this has been covered some in the past but wanted to see what new ideas etc. Trapperman folks have done or are doing to trap off their atv. With the mega El Nino weather patterns emerging , my trapping out of my 49 willys jeep looks to be shelved in favor of the Honda to avoid field ruts and damage---- lets see your ideas, new or old.

I made this a few years ago out of pieces of conduit and a cheap tarp. Planning on making a heavy duty cover, but the cheap one is still holding up. Works great for our weather.

I drive to most of my locations with my truck until it gets really wet. Then I pull a trailer with my ATV. I have a dual wooden box on front and a plastic encased box on the back rack.

Almost true, I do most off a snowmobile. Early season will be pickup or an atv is used some, but switch over to a snowmobile once we have the snow. I have an Arctic Cat TBX which I use when an atv is called for. The dump box on the back is handy, I can throw a couple totes of trapping gear in it. But all the mods to it were done for hunting, nothing done specific for trapping. Of course I still throw stuff in the enclosed box I have on the front rack, use the chainsaw carrier and gunracks, etc., but nothing was done specific for trapping.

This is what I came up with. Traps, drags, stakes in the front box, gear, dry dirt buckets, and lure box in the back box, snare pole bungeed to the right side handles, and rubber flaps to cover the boxes in rain, just ratchet to atv racks

So usually where I use this setup I can have the line set in a day, so the catch then goes in the front box, and if I want to add a trap or 2 I throw em in the back box with my gear. I also trap with my uncle so we have his machine for extra space as well

I use a Honda 300 for trapping and I have made two boxes like shown above. my front one is not as large as the rear one. I can put 5 5-6 gallon buckets in them, 3 in the back, two in the front, but most times I don't take that many. I typically use the larger back box for traps, stakes, dirt, grass etc. The front is where I keep lures, catches and firearm, body gripper for dispatch, setters, etc. Amazing how much one can haul.
I have sections I use the 4-wheeler for getting to my river lines. Then I drag my big otter sled that I use to set out of. I use bungy type straps to hold my boxes down.

Warrior this is what I built to haul my drowning rods. Just pull some pins when I want to take them off.

I have a windshield for the bikes.used it one fall then took it off dont use it anymore.pretty much useless in bad weather, gotta look over it to see anything.
Sleet is hard on the eyes,so I carry goggles for those few days in november. They are a pain too.It is not bad when actually running the line and setting and checking, but bad when running the trails back at the end of the day at higher speed.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I don't run a windshield on my bike, I drive through too much brush and never figured one would hold up. I've only ever broke a couple bad enough to have to replace on the snowmachines though, so maybe I'm wrong. I know the outfitter I work for has one fourwheeler with a windshield on it, and it is certainly nice on those cold mornings.

Boco, the fourwheeler I've ran with a windshield was like a snowmachine, there was about a two inch gap between being able to see over the top of the windshield and getting your eyeballs peppered with snow/rain/sleet. So if you kept your head at just the right height you can see over the windshield without getting your eyeballs peppered, but move your head up or down any and you can't see, either because of the windshield or because you got eyes full of sleet.
