Crickets are bad in some parts of the state.

I saw that in ft hood TX a few years back. Millions of them.

Do you have a lot of birds and other animals on the roads scarfing those down? It could also be that if there are that many they can find all they need any where else too. I know in the fall when fields are chisel plowed around here the field is filled with hundreds of gulls feeding on the worms. We have not had any real big rains this year here, but in the past when we did and the road was full of crawlers there were lots of birds and grinners feeding on them.

Them suckers ate my flowerbeds down to little stubs poking out of the dirt. We’ve got them bad in a couple spots around winnemucca. On the bright side, my 1 year old son stays pretty well entertained running around stomping on them when we’re out in the yard, and my chickens are eating good lol.

No, there’s so many of them over such huge areas the birds and foxes and all other critters that like to eat bugs don’t even hardly have to leave their beds to get a full belly. All the coyote, fox, etc scat you find around here will be full of crickets for another month probably.

My chooks would have stuffed themselves on those.

If the price was right with transportation to Ohio and if its legal, I could use hundreds of pounds of frozen crickets.

I bet you could herd those crickets with electricity. Drift fencing would work.
