v2k reached out to me several months ago and asked if we still do our kids program here in central SD he had traps he’d like to donate to the kids program we have. It worked out he would be coming down I-90 today so we met at the closest exit around 11 AM. He was nice enough to donate several large tubs of various size traps.

I had been donating traps to the plus ones that the other kids bring along or kids that hear about the classes that just show up so this lot of traps will go a long way towards every kid that needs traps will get some personal ones.

With the bounty program in place the kids still have some motivation to get out and trap here I see some happy kids this fall that will enjoy the gift they received today.

It was good to meet you today. I had been hoping to donate most of my traps to young future trappers so that they too can enjoy this sport as much as I did when I was young. In order to keep this sport alive we will need to pass on our knowledge, skill and passion for trapping.

Thank you for all that you are doing to get younger people involved in trapping.
