I dropped this gun and it hit hard, bumped the scope a couple of years ago. I sighted it back in and then a year later I fell with it and hit hard and knocked out of whack again. I tried sighting it back in but now its cranked all the way to the left but still shooting a foot to the right at about 25 yards. Any quick fixes ? Mounts ? Scope ? Thanks

Seems something is bent, I’d think you’d be able to tell by looking at it. Is the objective end of that scope bent down or is it just how it looks in the picture? What’s the brand of the scope?

Sounds like something broken in the reticle, a reticle adjustment spring maybe, if the scope has such a thing. Not meaning to give offense, but the Cabela's Pine Ridge are low-end scopes, if I recall right. The optics are fair for the price, but I don't know about the mechanics. Any chance it's still under warranty? If not, Cabela's may repair or replace it at a discount for you. If you'd bought a Leupold, they'd replace it free. Jim

I bought the gun used with the scope set up already. I would not have put that one on its big and bulky but been good optics up until I abused it. I might of bent it. It hit pretty hard. It dont take much to throw it off. Might not be noticeable with the naked eye. But good idea I wonder if Cabela's would fix/replace it, probably not, since its second hand. Maybe I will give it a smack in the other direction with a rubber mallet

Those Ruger rings with the integral bases seem like a pretty bulletproof setup to me so I would suspect the scope first. If you have another scope, I would try putting it on and see where it goes from there. Did you try loosening the mount and ring screws and retightening them just in case they were loose in the first place and got misaligned?

I would take this as the opportunity to put the scope that better fits your needs likely a broken scope
and maybe also replace the rings.

Leupold will supposedly replace or fix even a second-hand scope. I can't vouch for their warranty service, as I've never had one of my seven or eight Leupolds fail.
If I were replacing a scope today, I'd get a 30 mm. They cost more, and you have to get new rings, but they give you a great expansive view. After looking through a 30 mm for a while, a one-inch scope is like seeing through a soda straw.

just saw new burris fullfield II 4.5x14x42 scopes on ebay for $101.99. They are very good scopes for the money. I have 4 now and might order a couple more for that price No, they are not. They are just " ok" scopes. 101 00$ ain't gonna buy a good scope.!! Thar pic looks like the scope is bent? Not a company's responsibility to replace if you fell and bent it. Man up and buy a new one.
