Haven't been able to fish for salmon on the Yukon for two years and we decided we were tired of the brutal heat here in eastern interior so we headed for cooler pastures where we could catch some salmon. Camped out for two weeks and caught a ton of pinks as well as some small silvers, weather was great the whole time! Did a charter so we could get some bigger silvers plus we caught some kings and a few chums, nice to have some salmon in the freezer again! [Linked Image]

Wow, sounds like you all had a great time and got some fish. I would half smoke the pinks and jar them. will be some good vitals for the winter months.

Nice looking fish.

They allowed us to dipnet the summer chums here on the lower Yukon, so I put away about a dozen.

The fall chums are coming good now in the mouth. Seams to be a lot of fish in the test nets recently, so hopefully get their escapement and open us all up soon.

Nice haul.
We’ve had a pretty wet and cold summer. No fireweed to speak of even.
Never seen that before. But lots of good sockeye.

you can vote your way into socialism, but you will have to shoot your way out.
