I agree! If they actually had to work for a living they wouldn't have the time or energy for this sort of nonsense. Welfare should be a 3 month short term "stop gap" not a career lifestyle for the lazy.

I bet most on welfare have alternative,illegal forms of income,putting them in a much higher income bracket than the working man-they also get tax rebates instead of paying taxes.A win win win for them.

Old guy stuff…. Back in the day even if you were going to advanced schooling and working summer construction, when construction season ended you got only 8 weeks of unemployment. Being seasonal like road work didn’t matter you still had to prove you were looking for work during that 8 weeks. I recall sending those reports in.
Now it’s freebies forever? No questions asked or am I wrong?

My wife worked for the SSA as a contractor hearings court reporter. There are generations of welfare recipients. Yes, I said that correctly, generations. As in Grandmother, mother, and now daughter. None ever worked a day in their lives and now applying for disability and with most of the liberal judges they’ll get it and most likely their children will carry on the tradition.
I’m old school, but do realize some folks may ACTUALLY need it. In my “racist” opinion, if you don’t work, then you don’t eat. You can ask anyone that knows me, I’ll be the first to help anyone that’s helping themselves. The girls and guy at the Tea Shop I frequent are always studying between customers and I tip very very well. They’re going to school and working to do so…I’ll help them along no questions asked. Heck one of them may be the ER nurse one day when I’m brought in. I want them to remember Mr. Mark, lol.
