I've recently spotted a weasel on my land hunting near mice holes I also have a rockpile and I've heard they like to live in or near those I was thinking of placing some weasel boxes with rat traps any tips on where to place them near the weasels possible home or hunting ground?

Wait til it snow and look for tracks.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

What 20 scout said. Weasels have a very small home range and if he isnt picked off by a cat or bird of prey, etc, you will know where to set for him once there is some snow on the ground. They dont prime up(turn white)until november.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

For what it is worth I don’t like trapping them near my home or cabin. They are excellent at killing mice and shrews. X2

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

They are worthless until they turn white. If it doesn't snow and they turn white, they are really easy prey for airborne predators like hawks and owls. Like some of the others, I like having them around to rid the area of mice.
Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.
