I love going to Canada and fishing big snot rockets. Rumor has it that even Dead Coyote can catch them up there.

Pig of a pike. What date you catch it? Big belly on her. This one was 44 7/8ths " long caught in April through the ice. Never weighed it. Let her go. Didn't have the belly of your though.

That’s a beauty Keck… Trophy pike have become my clients number one quest. To date I’ve boated (they have) 7 over 50” inches since 2018.

In western Interior Alaska, I fished northern pike a lot. On the Yukon, the Innoko, and the Kuskokwim, I tried many years for a pike over 4 feet. I caught eight over the years at an honest 48". Never got one over that. Saw some big'uns though.

Nice!!! Only thing I’ve come close to is the Muskies that have been turned loose into the lake here… my best was 37 inches…48 is the legal size limit. The Illinois state record musky was caught in the same area that I’m fishing.
Hoping I can make a trip to northern Illinois to catch a legal size pike.. they aren’t this far south. I just want a mounted pike…. I think they are really cool looking fish. I get alot of greif from some people on fishing forums when I say I don’t care if it’s a legal 24 inches… I’m taking it home. ( of course I’d like to mount a bigger one

Jack I’m surprised they get that size given the cold water and limited summer growth. Largest in my boat client caught was legit nicking at 54” without pinching the tail. Northern Saskatchewan. I saw one I tried to get over and help a couple rookies net in another boat. I was there up close when the line let go just after it tried to get out of the water twice. I was more than amazed. Ive guided a lot of guys to very big musky but that pike beat them all by miles, a true freak of nature. Northern Ontario. Osky A note on the beauties above. Those 40 plus inchers are a blast and can have some wonderful girth. Get really long and most often they start looking more slender, boat oreish like. Osky
