Looks like it is getting close to harvest time Les. You should be in good shape for winter.

Les, is that a Hopi pale Grey squash? I grew those several years, man will those suckers store forever. I would usually eat then up sooner, but had them last close to a year just sitting on the kitchen counter. In fact, my memory stinks, but it seems I had one just over a year old and I damaged it when I was moving stuff around and ate it before it could get a mushy bad spot.

Looks great Les. Won’t be long to picking. Maples are getting a lot of red in them already, but it has been awfully dry.

That's a Blue Hubbard, and they too store for ever

It is INCREDIBLY dry here too and I have to water everything daily. My garden is not nearly as impressive as Les' and I sure he spends a fair amount of time watering as well.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Wow, I didn't realize you had been getting rain. I have one deer stand in an Ash swamp that most years I can't get to with the ATV and balloon tires. I was back there a couple of days ago with the side by side in 2 WD. I took the brush hog back the next day and mowed the shooting lanes. Most years I have to mow them when they are frozen in December. I have never seen it this dry here before. In the woods there are no ferns or grass, just dead leaves and bare dirt.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I think we have had just over 2 inches since June 1st. I believe normal for us is about an inch a week.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Les is that a wheelbarrow full of traps you found when you hoed up that soil for the spring planting or do you just grab a pile from the back shed and give ‘em a ride around for a while, make ‘em think fur prices are shining again get ready to move?
