It's crazy to see new guys hit the scene, become the talk of the town and fast forward 10 yrs and they are gone.
Puts things in perspective and makes me respect guys / companies who have been in the game for a long time.
The youtube and facebook famous guys ebb and flow like the tide. Most arnt gone they just regress from the lime light. Trapping industry is hard for those who don't....do things "properly"to stay active in on a large scale. Not worth it in a lot of cases.now days it's just too easy to make you own little community do your thing and be happy. Lotta bigger names still are killing left and right just don't see the point tin posting or being public. Spoke to one guy who said he hand no interest in thing to fit into the ' Good ole boys clubs' " as he called em.

Most have moved away from forums forums . Matt Jones in on Facebook posts regularly Can't blame them. Sometimes the forums are just a place to bash the "James's" of the world. Nothing constructive to add, just pack mentality towards whoever's turn in the barrel. There are some really good trappers who don't have a need to be forum famous. Some are not interested in the politics or back pats needed to gain likes. They are producers/business men and not media personalities. Some don't consider the few dollars made selling books or lure to be worth the headache; they are successful at what they do and don't need to be saddled with the work. Others take great pleasure in what they do, probably far beyond the dollars gained. Each has to decide what's best for them.

And some are on trapping forums who don't even trap and im not talking about the ones that just physically can't do it anymore. More the ones that just don't have much intrest in it but like to be part of the pack.

Not sure what this is about. Did someone accuse you of this?
