How much are .30 cal ammo cans in great condition worth?
Also, what are the uses for them? Just curious.

Thanks,
Sarge

Don't know worth but lots of uses other than just ammo. I keep my garden seeds in one.

metal cans with a good gasket have gone up 12-15 is a decent price range for 30s
50s are more like 15-18
those might even be a little dated as prices

why I have gone largely to Plano and MTM boxes while not metal they serve the purpose of ammo storage well

as for uses , more and more every day I have seen everything from just holding child hood treasures to power pack battery units , speakers , small electronics control boxes , tool storage , seed storage

anything that needs dark and dry to store well

The plastic ones are OK for storage, BUT, they are NOT water proof at all. Put something heavy in one, like a couple boxes of duck hunting shot shells, and drop it in the water.

I use em for lure/bait storage in off season. 50 cal when I can find them are better I can fit more in one.
The rubber seals are nice forr keeping odors contained.

These came from a Marine Corp base. So, pretty much brand new. I use them to store my lead in for later use. I have about 200 pounds to date.
Your definitely not going to grab and haul butt with one.
Stinky lures for sure. Brass if you have enough. Flares, matches, lighters etc if camping and ammo of course.
Not to mention first aid supplies and medicine.

Thanks for all your help.
