Nice car if you like mustangs

But those rear tires ...sticking out beyond the sheet metal...have got to go

My mother had a '68 fastback. Custom ordered with all the bells and whistles by my uncle. When he was killed in a construction accident in '69 she got it. Dad traded it in for '70 F100 base model.

Dad is the worst horse trader I know.

it looks like a 1968 Mustang Fastback. It is either a '67 or '68. The tell tail would be if there is vents in the rear quarter panels, doesnt look like it. It is not an earlier model because there are not scallops next to headlights and the body line is high which makes it a 67 or 68.

That was the big time look back then tho. Minnesota Dragways in Blain MN had bunches of them on Sunday afternoons.
Law is right on the age bracket, my cousin had one, however I don’t recall any minor differences that would set one year apart from the other tho I’m sure there were some?
They were hot stuff, modified, to compete against the Mopars and as I recall a lot of Chevelles back then.

I was thinking possibly 67 but not sure. Warrior I bet your dad regretted it later on down the line, but he probably needed something more practical.

I'm thinking 67 since there doesn't appear to be any side running lights, which became mandatory in 68.

One car I consider a classic is a Dodge Stealth. I used to dream about having one.

I was born in '69 and named for the uncle so I don't remember the car but as soon as I understood cars and knew of it I gave dad heck for it, lol. Still do.

He says that it got to light in the rear at speeds over a hundred.

He's a money guy so I occasionally show him what they go for at auction now.

That is a 67. I've been working on a 68 here in the shop, there are subtle differences.

My first car was a 68 fastback. Bought it for 50 bucks. Sure loved that car.
