My question to the members is do I need municiple/regional or provincial written permission to trap the roadside ditches in Ontario-southern Ontario specifically?

I realize people don't obey leash laws and I will be mindful of that in every trap I set.

I have an enquiry to my local municipality for written permission from them already and waiting for reply,but google/bing/yahoo or any searches I have done doesn't say if ditches are private or public property?

Go on the Fur Managers Federations website, they have a chart posted with the contact information for the local presidents in your area, they will know for sure.
But as I understand it, you need written permission from the municipality, because they are technically the owners.
If your on a district/County road, then you would need their permission

Written from municipality is required as well as written from landowner.
