A long time ago a carpet layer friend told me there were two places carpet should never be. Kitchens and bathrooms.

I miss the shag carpets of the 70s. Used to lay in the floor feet propped up on the fireplace hearth to watch TV, all three channels.

But if I'm on the floor now I'm hitting the emergency alert button, lol.

Seriously though I don't want carpet anywhere. Rugs that can be hauled out for a good cleaning is fine but no carpet.
