I can’t seem to draw a tag for myself but I will get to be the plus one again a buddy drew a bow tag for next month in the Black Hills. It’s a big unit only 30 tags total so it might be worth the trip. He’s got cell cams out and has scouted a couple times he’s a guy that plans rather then just hopes to get lucky.

Last elk hunt inside the State Park my buddy pulled 1 of 4 tags that year 15 yard shot.

Sounds like a blast! I am going to be the +1 on a cow rifle tag. Either way elk hunting is always a good time.

I was the plus 1 on my sons Black hills bow hunt a couple years ago. we had the unit bordering the park. we could see the Needles highway and hunted up to the fence and back to Lead. Lots of walking but easy walking.

Got an AZ cow tag this year. Had an AZ bull tag two years ago. Got a 4x6.

Look at some cow tags guys, they are cheap in Wyoming compared to bull tags, the Type 6 and 7's anyway.

We have a couple of cow tags and general elk tags for Wyoming, going archery hunting next week and the cows will be on private, we hope.

First year for me. I was able to secure some properties last week. I got up at 04:45 hrs and didn`t stop until about 18:30 hrs and went at it again the next day. I ended putting a fair amount of mileage on my Silverado but whatever, it paid off since I got some properties.

Just got a text message yesterday evening from one of the landowners who said there was a bull near the property. Cameras and tree stands are up and I am counting the days....

Ontario is no Elk Country but I have a bull tag and there are some around so time will tell, I guess.
