There are very few hot sauces that give the great quality of both very good taste and short term heat. I like heat, but I don't like it so much that I want it to stick with me and ruin my appetite. The Red Jalapeno by San Pedro is the best I have found that meets those qualities. I can buy it for $2 a bottle in Eagle Pass. I have tried their Green Jalapeno and it is good, but a bit too hot for me. I also have their chilipiquin hot sauce and it is still full because it is so dang hot, it ain't even good for my taste buds. Some dashes of red jalapeno sauce on an avocado, deviled egg, scrambled eggs, or breakfast taco will make the food into heaven. IMO, the red jalapeno is the good stuff. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-40766-187468-img_3408.jpg) The chilipiquin hot sauce killed me. Way way way too hot. That's why the bottle is still full ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/08/full-40766-187469-img_3409.jpg)

Ha! I'm headed to College Station tomorrow to get some tires fixed, run some errands, and mail a package via FEDex. I'm putting you a couple of bottles in there Mike. A dash of the red stuff will even make mayonnaise like heaven!

run, I think them are ready to become banana bread. Keith the garlic one is slightly more mild heat, lots of garlic flavor and a little sweeter IMO. I prefer it over the other by a small margin. Definately worth trying if you can find it. Like mentioned above it's hard to come by around here too. Thanks. It sounds more to my taste than the Sriacha, which I do like. Cincinnati has a fantastic store, that's been declared a National Treasure by the Smithsonian Magazine, called Jungle Jim's. I have no doubt they have it. I will get some there if I can't find it locally. Keith I hope you find it. I don't even see it on Amazon. I hope it hasn't been discontinued.

If I want heat, I make a small batch of my own sauce. It doesn't have a real long shelf life. It's just a lot of habaneros, jalapenos, onions, garlic, salt (I think), and a couple of Carolina Reapers. That's some good stuff but I'm the only one in the family who can eat it.
ergo, bibamus.

Thank you Chancey.
