I was walking along the edge of an old farm field, they had equipment in there a couple days before clearing black berry briars from along the edge of the field. I spotted an old Victor LS that had been run over by a piece of equipment. I immediately knew it was a trap I had lost about 50 years ago (early 70's). I recognized the distinctive trap tag I had made in shop class. Lots of memories this brought back.

Looks in pretty good shape for 50 years. How did you manage to lose it in the firstplace

Looks in pretty good shape for 50 years. How did you manage to lose it in the firstplace I don't remember losing it, I see the wire isn't broken, so a coon didn't break it off. I would have been trapping coons or skunks. It probably just fell out of my pack, or stolen and discarded onto the berry bushes.

That's pretty awesome. I know a guy that when he was younger, set lots of traps for mink in a small stream. He hadn't traped that stream in 30+ years. He said just a few years ago after he retired, he went to set in some of his old places and found one of his old traps. Pretty neat sometimes how somethings all come together. If that spot didn't produce in 30 years I wouldn't have set another one there.
I have nothing clever to put here.

If that happened around here it would be nothing but a rust stain in the dirt. Cool find! X2
