Decent opener here. Most of our group got their limits.

Central/West Texas. Seams to have lots of doves. Opened yesterday. I thought it opened Saturday Was trying to get all my snares on 107000 acres run before Today. Almost threw. Have meet about 6 groups of dove hunters so far. All are doing on doves they say. Every group has been nice. With the exception of one yesterday! He had decoys in the rode and had to move them so I could get threw gate. He got a little smart. I told him. I work for the owner. He mouthed off again. I told him = Well I can allways just - run over your decoys! He moved them and I went own down the fence ! LoL!

We got 30 this morning between me and my boy. All cleaned and on ice water. Get some bacon and we'll be putting them on the grill tomorrow evening if u want to come over. 100 year old hedge posts for fuel, none of that concert forest pellet stuff.

Had a good shoot this afternoon. Due to the cloudy conditions we had everyone meet up at 1330. I knew it was going to be a “slow” day when we got to the fields and got up about 50 birds. I think due to the weather conditions they just fed all morning.
It wasn’t a barn burner, but birds trickled in all afternoon and gave everyone plenty of shooting. Many limits were taken and those that didn’t limit out didn’t blame it on the amount of birds, lol! Shell manufactures should see a rise in profits next week!
We still have a few sections to burn and get ready for another shoot in a few weeks.
