Anyone from the area or been through this week? Curious if the city park is under water or if a guy can access the boat ramp. I know south and north are just below bank full, just not sure how that relates to the park as it seems to be in a low spot.

They were fishing there today and I saw a boat in the river just south of the bridge

There arent many trees on the James (Jim) River but we managed to find some shade in a couple spots.. Im used to a log jam every hundred yards or so on other rivers but this has very little structure in the water. The channel through most of it was around 10 feet and that’s where they were. Buddy and I each boated an 8 lb channel cat and several in the 2-4 lb range. All on triple S dip bait.

My one uncle fished that spot hundreds of times from shore. He only lived a few blocks away for 20+ years. Catfishing was his relaxing time.
