If you trap this fall/winter will you sell your catch, tan it, make something from it, etc. If you sell it how will you do that? At state trapper organization fur sales, FHA, local buyers ,etc.?

FHA for most of it. GFW might be an option this year if they’re in the area, at $50 xxl beaver, but most of its going to North Bay.
I wanna try Bocos tanning method on something. Make some beaver hoops maybe?

I ship my furs to FHA but this year might keep a few back to get tanned.

Ship anything of value to auction and donate the rest to MTA's tanned fur project.

Quit dealing with fha, sell to local buyer now. My wife sews skins so we tan a bunch and we also sell some tanned fur locally. Make enough to buy some rice and beans every once in awhile grin

Tan it and add to my stockpile. A few more years and I will be able to insulate my house with coons.

Most every thing I catch I will donate to our MTA Tanned Fur Project.I wont trap very hard 6 to 10 coyotes, guessing 2 to 3 red fox,1 or 2 marten and 1 to 3 bobcats.330 might come up for 3,4 days this year to try to get him a couple bucket list taken care of BOBCAT and a MARTEN.Will find out later if thats going to happen,20 scout came up a few years back and we did his bucket list of a bobcat and a marten,it's all about helping other trappers out, young and old.

Toss it in the ditch un skined. Don't have time or patience to learn to put it up. Can't find anyone to pay to do so and eventually run out of freezer space and toss it anyway so now i don't bother skinning it out.

Made a 8’ square comforter from 30 beavers and 3 otters for trim on the top a while ago that keeps my wife and I toasty. I have a 20 and 1 month yr old and they are gonna need something too, so the wife and I are going to make a couple more. Thinking maybe marten trim on one and mink on the other.
