Hurricane folks are saying there’s a monster brewing in the Atlantic. Could be Cat 4 or bigger by the time it gets close. Looks like a lot of the models spin it out to sea but it could make an eastern US landfall, if not.

Snore me a river. Blah, blah, blah. Its hurricane season. We all have to live somewhere. We all are going to die sometime.
(No offense to you Blue).

I hope this one heads out to sea and gives folks a break.

After living on Hatteras for 15 years - I moved. Glad I was able to do so.

They're building Lee up to be the worst in History. It's west of South Africa moving 15 mph. Katie bar the door.

Lee produced some pretty significant waves, shore break and constant riptides. NC 12 south of Oregon Inlet got over wash as usual,
As of Monday we had 3 tourists drown after being caught in rips while going in the water with the NO SWIMMING red flags up.
1 on Hatteras Island Saturday, 1 on Sunday and one in Nags Head on Monday.
If I remember correctly we had 14 drown on one day in 80 or 81.

We ought to get some pretty big surf from Lee since the surge it is pushing will be from when it was a Cat. 5
I dont recall ever getting surge from a 5 before

I was in corpus christi tx around 1970 when Celia hit SPI, winds were 160 mph. the storms are not worse, the powers that be want to spend trillions of our money to enrich the elites, so they have to make it sound all doom and gloom

It's a hurricane, hurricanes suck and some are worse than others, but they're not any worse than they've ever been, they're a fact of life, always has been, always will be....

All models are showing it saying out in the Atlantic. But it is turning to be a cat 5 . Folks in Bermuda should be worried ... not the people on the east coast. But I guess these days even the weather people have to make it sensational in a weird way.

They want to say they are worse because they effect more people. Wonder if the fact more homes and businesses are on the coast has anything to do with that stat ???

We moved away from the coats partly because of the hurricanes. That got the missus out of the weather but now I drive down to the coats whenever there is threat of a hurricane ...... I am not going to put diesel in the truck for this one though.
