Before we started home schooling my daughter had an issue witha boy picking on her. I asked if she told the teacher, recess atendents ect she said yes. I spoke with them all and principal as well. Yetnit continued and the schoo did nothing. So I told her ext time put him on the ground she said but I will get in trouble. I said yes you will at least untill I get there at that point you won't be. She was still hesitant. So I put it this way.

If I hear about you not taking care of it you will be in trouble at home would you rather be in trouble briefly at school or at home.

A few days later a recess attendant pulled my wife to the side and said . Isabelle put that boy on t he ground and had him in some kind of leg lock and he couldn't move and she had never seen anything like it. I smiled from ear to ear when my wife told me that. She got in no trouble, kid neve rcame near hear again and no one ever messed with her again because thay either saw what happend or heard about it. My doubts about if she was paying attention when I was showing her arm bars leg bars counters and such were unfounded.

She also always has a pocket knife and neck knife and knows how to use them always since we started home schooling.
Always teach your kids especially girls and all fighting should be to win quick and effectively . Ther is no such thing as dirty. Unless your talking about dirt and blood.

Warrior, self defense classes save lives, if at some point she may want to consider this.

I started martial arts when I was in high school , continuing in two powerful Japanese styles for over 25 years. It did come in handy, and she will never forget how to execute moves that matter. Her self confidence will soar, as well as physical shape . It will also make her very observant and able to avoid some situations ahead of time, even protecting her friends in group settings. A good instructor will teach her insight in all those things.

She has to want to do this, however. Good instructors and having fun as well can make the difference. It did for me, and I went on to make it my model in power , in mental and physical fitness. It will benefit her all her life.

As for the 17 year old, some dishes are best served cold. A guy breaks the nose of a daughter of mine and it would not go unrequited.

Very sorry about your daughter. That sucks. I hope she heals quickly and has a male friend that beats the brakes of the kid.

I tell every dad with a daughter to put her in wrestling, Judo or Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing. Ground and hands/feet. Agree on the confidence comment--it's huge. Make her compete in live tournaments. I prefer Judo for girls.

I wonder why he hit her? What were the circumstances leading up to it? Was it long fight or did he just pop her in the nose and set back down? Was there anything the bus driver could of done? Were there others on the bus? Did they do anything to try to prevent/stop it?

If it were my daughter, I'd have a hard time controlling my reaction. I don't envy you Warrior.

Long history of this young man bullying others. Today he was throwing things on the bus. When she rose and turned to tell him to stop it he came up swinging and waled on her. The first punch broke the nose. For the rest of it she ducked and covered.

I watched the video. If she made any wrong move it was trying to confront him.

My daughter has had one boyfriend so far, and I made it clear I’m not afraid of spending a night or two in county jail. You make her cry, I’ll make you cry. This would be the same policy. Have a meeting with me or we press the felony charges.

I’m one to think that going toe to toe with another man is a better life lesson than a felony, especially for a 17 year old who probably never had a father to give him an (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) whipping when he needed it.

Back home now and feeling terrible. Dad's are supposed to protect their daughters. I guess get rested up for the war I'm going to start tomorrow with the school.

Girls and women in general, worry about their appearances, probably more than they should. If her nose looks different, after the swelling goes down in a couple of weeks, I recommend finding a good plastic surgeon, who specializes in rhinoplasty, that can set it straight. You don't want her to feel self conscious about her nose for the rest of her life.

Breathing problems can be caused by a broken nose too.

I hope your daughter heals perfectly and quickly.

Not a spot I would want to be in. I would be very conflicted. Between prison time and being able to be home and there to provide for my family.

It would get handled maybe off in the future a bit but keeping.control and appearing calm and staying out of trouble would be very difficult. Try to think and not blindly react if that is even possible. I have had so much going through my head on how I want to take care of it and being livid many states away just reading about it. I can't imagine living it.

That it's my job to keep them safe really messed me up when my son was killed. I know that feeling of being a failure of a protector. It's amazing how your mind works trying to take the blaim when there was no way you could have prevented the problem. But that one of the many things that ate me up inside. And honestly still dose at times and that was back in 07.
