My great uncle is nearly 90 years old and a local trapping, hunting and commercial fishing legend. I try to visit him at least once a week. I’m the new keeper of a old Belgian double gun purchased in New Orleans and used to pile the ducks, geese, shorebirds and rabbits for the markets and restaurants in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The old gun was also used for the hat feather market killing thousands of snowy egrets. The barrels are severely pitted from years of black powder shells and the action was shot loose. Actually not worth anything. It’s a old Belgian guild gun made for a now extinct New Orleans hardware store. On the market in the condition it is maybe on a good day $100.
