I hung a rope in a tree and put some Code Blue rack rub on the rope. Every deer was curious about it. [Linked Image]

That’s pretty cool. I’ve seen a lot articles about putting up rope, just never done it. Actually hadn’t had a need, but would like to do it just to see.
Is it just a regular rope?

Nice buck- I've had better success with rope than grapevine mock scrapes- even in the same location over the years. My set-up is basically the same, I hang my ropes in January after they weather for a while, spray Round-Up underneath in August. I try and leave a licking branch, treat the rope in early September with Smokey's Wicked Wick (once) and never touch them again.

I just hung the rope 2 weeks ago. The first week with nothing on it, they were still checking the rope out. I need to get a few more out.

I have a couple out year-round used thicker rope though. Top with Smokeys preorbital lure. Works well.
