Only took 4 snaps tonight and was out on the cart.

Torn Achilles... suspected

Jets defense stuns Buffalo in OT. 22-16

Bills looked almost as bad as the Bengals. Of course the Chiefs lost and the Eagles dang near lost to the lowly Patriots. None of top teams looked like top teams this week.

Arron Rogers was just used for hype to sell tickets. He sucks as a quarterback and now he may be done forever which would be good.

He had terrible protection on that play. The injuy was kind of freak. Hype? I don't think so. Cost to much money for hype.

"If Rodgers plays in 65 percent of snaps for the Jets during the 2023 season, that pick would turn into a first-rounder instead of a second. If he plays in fewer than 65 percent of snaps, the pick remains a second-rounder."

That injury will probably cost the Packers a 1st Round pick... a lot of snickering going on in Packer Nation...People that create their own Drama- deserve their own Karma

The packer fans I know were hoping he would play over 65% of the snaps and that the jets would have the poorest record so the packers would get the first overall pick.

While I hoped for a 1st round pick we will take the second round and be happy with the trade. Got a first move-up in 2022 this year that is already paying dividends and a 2nd round for an old QB who is now out for the season I am good with this. I will also say while his best days are behind him and probably over in Titiletown he had a special talent with a football. Quirky personality but he could sling a football.

Agree.

Gotta smile though when Jets go ahead and win anyway without him.

Did the Packers Fans get to say good bye to Aaron...unlike Tom Brady.

Will Aaron get a day of Celebration in Lambeau...in a few years ?

Now we need the Jets to lose as many games as possible so our pick becomes an upper rd 2 pick.

MRI just confirmed its a torn achilles and he's out for the season. May have been his last game at his age.

No doubt about it. He will still go down as one of the best.

Maybe this will get the turf thrown out of the NFL. No doubt the fact his foot couldn't slip caused that injury. Several players are on twitter complaining about the used tires they put on the fields. One was saying if turf is so good why is the world cup making all teams put down natural grass for any matches.....

The Football owners love turf..

Then they can rent out the stadium for concerts, monster trucks, ice hockey events..

Turf takes a licking...and keeps on ticking.

Grass needs an expert team to keep it up..

And nevah mind the extra cost

More maintenance on turf than what people think.

I have been a Bears fan for 37 years. I have waited 19 years for someone to take out Rogers with a sack. My second favorite team is the Bills, they did it in 4 minutes.

Jets picked up a couple really good wide outs that were there due to building around Rodgers. Now Wilson will need to up his game so they are not just a good running team. Defense did well but then Allen is prone to taking poor choices and risky plays and that did the Bills in yesterday. Running backs are the new weak link in modern day NFL pass happy game. Jets will be OK with running and good D but not rising to the level that they were planning to do. Packers have a long history with developing good QBs. Mike Holmgren was very good in working with Farve. Darrel Bevell was a good QB coach as well. Brady is to me the best example of a talented, trainable, smart and durable QB and his stats show that.

They still got beat with a back up !!! LOL LOL

But you are sad person. Love them hate them no one should wish an injury to any player. You don't like him say it. BUT wishing or being glad someone got hurt might come back on you.

Nessy turf takes more people. Yes local highschools took all the covid funds and put down turf on the fields. 2 million bucks. BUT they had to buy 4 "turf sweepers" at 40,000 a pop. Have to be swept after each game and practice. Takes around 3 hrs to do that .Had to hire 3 full time people to care for them. In past with the grass the janitors mowed them ......

Then get to the hazards. That ground up tires is a known cancer causer. The ACL and MCL tears have tripled in 2 years. Some parents even pulled their kids off the team

Jbyrd, after three years you finally posted something I agree with. My grandpa got me liking the Packers since I was 8, he was a Bart Starr fan. I was a fan of Rogers as a player only, he is a idiot.
Glad he left the Pack, however, I would never wish an bad injury on any player (or bass fisherman from Kentucky for that matter : )

The NFL is less entertaining without Brady, Rodgers. Feel bad for Rodgers but atleast he has 75 million to wipe his tears with, still a tough break.

I thought studies showed injuries occurred equally often on grass and turf? I don't care enough to research it but I thought I heard that.

I read something like that, too. It was a study dome by the NFL, likely influenced by owners who like to have multiple events at their stadiums and make a bunch of money. At the stadium where Eodgers got hurt, that was the 4th major event in as many days. There were concerts Friday and Saturday, a very rainy game between the Giants and Cowboys on Sunday, and the Jets/Bills game Monday. No way that could've all happened on a grass field. Even the back-to-back games would've been tough with how nasty the conditions were Sunday.

Tough injury to come back from at 40 years of age. But I do not see him going out this way. I would not judge him for retiring but I will bet on a return.

Nobody is talking about the long term effect this will have on his golf game. When he swings, when he goes back, all his weight displacement is on his right foot, he won't be able to come back around and he'll push everything to the right. He'll quit the game.

It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

My wife snapped Achilles on our porch one night. Have no idea how. Came to me saying she felt a bad sting all of a sudden and her foot doesn’t work. Was a Sunday night and she had a r/t plane ticket to Texas as a contract trainer. She stopped at our local ortho surgeon office on her way. They put her in a soft boot and she flew to Texas, receiving appropriate services everywhere. She returned at the end of the week for surgery and a new hard cast. He cast was pointed like a ballet shoe. About every ten days she got a new cast with less pointing, but not something she could walk in. Recovery was very slow.

Her surgeon was a young doctor with long hair and wore cowboy boots. He picked Nags Head, NC so he could surf every day. When we met he took pride in drawing me a picture of the wraps and knots he used. Said the tendon was now stronger than mother nature’s design.

Roger will surely miss the season if his tendon snapped into.

Wilson did a great job in his absence, though. Buffalo's a good team.

More and more when I go anywhere I find myself keeping track of where the nearest rest room is.

Still early yet, but after Rodgers and Love making good starting appearances, maybe teams would be better keeping a rookie qb on the bench a year or two in order to learn rather than throwing them into the fire right away.
