Anyone got other ways to use these things other than their original purposes? I've made some into over the top body grip stabilizers but I still have too many of them .

I did that too also made a fish gaff for ice fishing out of the L shaped bottom as the handle and bent the other end (nose end) into a hook. That is real good metal and sharpens easy. Two gaffs out of one stretcher.....jk

Starch your blue jeans and stretch over them to dry.

I trimmed the base off some, stapled some 1x3's along the sides and made coyote stretchers ....

I straightened some and attached them to the ceiling. I used them to hang peerless rat stretchers from.

I have nothing clever to put here.

They are good material to build yourself a pair of one hand setters.

You could make them to fit any coilspring traps or jump traps. I imagine if you were creative enough you could make them for longspring traps as well.

Do you have a video or pictures of a finished one?

I'm sure there are some out there on the internet you can find. Southern snares has them on their website. You're not going to get dimensions and such. You need to figure that out with some trial and error.

When I quit using wire stretchers, I turned them into fur hangers.

Use them to stretch possums.

I’ve done the same but for cats. If you squeeze down that narrow neck on the wire you can get a 36” cat out of one just short of it.

Give them away to some kid that's just getting started instead of chopping them up.

We cant even gove em away. Our association has a bunch and we probably have 20 years worth of wire stretchers for our trapper workshops

Terrible pictures but this is how I used mine to hold rat stretchers. That stiff wire creates little or no sag. I apologize for all the other junk and clutter in the pictures.
