Personally, I can't understand why some of you people think that CEOs and other executives can't make the mistakes that lead to the troubles at their companies. Of course there are plenty of bad examples of management in business.

After the bailouts and how the union worker's acted it was the end of me buying union made vehicles so shut down ALL the junk they are making now days, it won't matter to me. Over priced junk is all that is being produced now and it's comical the better than thou union worker's think they are under paid and mistreated, lol. Reality is going to bite ALOT of people in the rear in this country very soon. But keep picketing and begging, when you have to go work at wal mart for minimum wage cause the plants shut down you might get the picture but i doubt it.
Not my circus, not my clowns.

I’d be willing to bet that if non union locals were allowed to come across the lines and take the jobs from the striking people with the exact same pay and benefits, the people on strike would not have a position to go back to in a very short period of time. The amount of benefits and pay is dramatically higher than other jobs always. Then who would be left crying? Darn sure bet the unions would not continue to pay wages of their lap dogs for very long. That is what hopefully happens, and shows these workers what their unions really care about….

At one period of time in this nation, unions were a blessing. Anymore, they are nothing but another corrupt money laundering agency of the DNC.

A quick google search (cbs news) says the average wage for uaw member is $28 an hour. So $56,000 per year is too much? If you're sweeping the floors.... yep.

If you don't like your job or your pay , you're free to go find a different one . Pretty simple
Or the union members could start their own car manufacturing business , since they seem to know everything No need to if you can demand a 46% raise and a shorter work week and get it. Talk about a sweetheart deal. Your so green with envy you head looks like this.

In the last 3 years new vehicle prices have increased an average of 30% yet people continue to buy them. The CEO’s salaries have increased 40%. I would agree the workers are paid well for assembly line work but their wages have little effect on the price of vehicles, the big 3 are making billions in profits. If you think moving the jobs to Mexico will lower prices your wrong. It surprises me how many people on here are on the side of corporate greed instead of middle class working people. If people keep buying them, why lower the price?

Face it all the CEO's are over paid but my point is what if Kroger workers or truck drivers asked for this deal and got it what would happen to the economy? Would we be able to afford anything? All these silly demands are going to do is make automation faster in the assembly process. Give them a raise but what there asking not real. While their profits are stupid high, people buy their stuff. Stop buying and prices will come down. Yes?

The entire Big three would be a fine example. I can’t think of much that’s been run more poorly in US. A horrible culture of management that goes all way to the floor. A big game across board propped up by collusion between corporations, UAW top leadership and federal government
