Thanks for all the answers. I ordered four boxes from Bass Pro. They were pretty salty at $48.00 a box but it will keep family members hunting with the old 336 for a while. It’ll work fine for deer…. You will probably need to sight your gun to it as it’ll likely shoot higher than the core lock I've been using the 30-30 version after years of using corelokts, these LE's are like a 30-30 on steroids, it's a next level of performance, especially if your hunting small properties or at dusk, they rarely get out of sight of the shot. BUT....some rifles don't like them, I'd try a box before you commit to them, and you will have to re sight the gun . Friend of mine uses them in a 35 and is happy with the performance.
They don't kill any deader, but faster, so easy to find. I'll be sighting in/re-zeroing with the new ammo for sure. Just as soon as we use up the last of the Core-Lokts.
Eh...wot?

ADC, I'm thinking the extra 800 FPS the .35 has over the .44 makes a difference in terminal performance/expansion. According to most of the guys above it does.
I've always used 165 grain jacketed HP's (Core-Lokts) in my .357 for deer. At first I was worried about under-penetration but they will go right thru a broadside/rib cage shot deer and leave a good-size exit wound.

I have feeding problems with them in my marlin 1895 45-70 guide gun. The tip makes them too long to feed up into the chamber from the magazine. Just something to keep in mind on your marlin. I have read where you can drill a divet in the follower to allow for the extra lenght but i just shoot winchester super x flat nose in it Keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be an issue for me.

ADC, I'm thinking the extra 800 FPS the .35 has over the .44 makes a difference in terminal performance/expansion. Yes. Very well could be, that is why I said what I did in my first sentence. I don't have any first hand knowledge from them in other calibers. Just thought, since they were brought up, I'd mention how they preform in a .44 for anyone wondering. Thanks for mentioning that. I should of added it to my post.

I hav an older marlin 336 30-30 microgroove and it does NOT like the lever evolution at all. I was lucky to keep a pie pan. I was really hoping it would work.
Reloaded with some 170 round nose and got a super accurate load.
Works with some guns, not with others.
Good luck.

Boy I thought that I did good at $65 after seeing them for sale here for $85 last year. $48 is a better deal, but I probably bought enough to last my life time......jk

I've not been around them in a 35, but I've seen them used quite a bit on bears in 30-30, 45/70, 450 Marlin and 444 Marlin. At least in the last three (45/70 and 450 in particular) they were bad to blow apart and grenade. Hit a big bone and you are likely to have little pieces of copper and lead scattered all over. They did kill good and are much flatter shooting than flatnosed rounds though. I never used them myself, but several friends did and I have guided a number of people also who used them. Several of them gave me their used 45/70 brass, you can load other brands of bullets in it fine, but it is a tenth of an inch shorter, which creates two problems. A)less case capacity so the same amount of powder loaded in a Hornady case as compared to a Starline, Remington, etc., creates significantly higher pressure. B)If you aren't using Hornady dies it is likely that your dies will not adjust down to roll crimp the case (I know my Lee dies will not) this can be an issue in a tube magazine.
I don't like the brass for that reason, and I would be leery of using the smaller calibers, particularly on larger, tougher game like elk, if they have the same tendency to grenade as the large calibers do.

I shoot jacketed hollow points in my Ruger 44 carbine and they expand just like those. Very deadly. High chest, low chest, neck. None of the deer go more than 18 inches straight down in a pile. The bullet ends up just under the hide on the opposite side. Some claim that they prefer an exit hole for blood trailing. I don't ever have a blood trailing problem. I just roll the deer over. It's all right there underneath it. That bullet in that caliber blows the lungs out better than Joe Biden's infamous 9mm. I'd guess that the 35 Remington would perform very similarly.
