We encourage Party members in established unions to:

volunteer for roles;
run in elections;
provide critical views, analysis, and experience;
always act in solidarity with coworkers;
show up to union meetings;
get involved in the labor community;
give the union “leads” to unorganized workers who want to be organized; and
educate coworkers.

We encourage Party members in solidarity with labor actions to:

follow union leadership regarding tactics and strategy;
perform auxiliary work if requested;
put immediate struggle above everything;
don’t proselytize;
do work the union cannot do; and
bring in allies and build networks.

Talk about an ingorant obvious statement. They have been off shoring jobs for decades to get the slave labor rates and no epa and other regs to comply with along with a ton of other goverment restrictions and cost to manufacture in the US. Don't pretend it's not anything other than corporate greed.

Well I don't know about you but the only reasion I go to work is for money and health insurance. I sure could find other things I prefer to do with my time instead of spending 60 to 97 hrs a week on rotating shifts at work.

Instead of spending billions in oversea projects, perhaps we should spend ample here to incentivize upstarts and a rebirth of growth within our own industrial expansion.,..but of course that would be putting America first,..not a globalist power point in the least.

BC the tranny didn’t tank AB the top executives that signed off on this did and what teed everyone off was the out of touch fratty boy comment by the VP of bud light , that is what happens when the resume says I’m a girl with a masters from Harvard and I’m a lesbian and knows absolutely zero about marketing beer and believe me I’ve forgot more about the beer business than you will ever know . Under the old AB that woman wouldn’t have been allowed on the premises let alone be in charge of anything. The company was ran by white guys with one thing in mind making a ton of money and being number one.

Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered.

Union workers who are a little greedy, get what they want. Union workers who want to much end up unemployed.

The same goes for CEOs.

People need to be self interested to survive. To much self interest is a problem.

The answer is usually parts of both.

Keith

Democrats and all the regulations they made is what drove companies out. You want America first? Vote Trump. He's your only hope.

Printing more money, spending by the government, corruption keeps it snowballing. Causes runaway inflation. All of us have less buying power with our dollars now.

Koreavietnamiraqafghanistan was just a drop in the bucket for stealing your tax dollars and pushing the computer button to create more money.

Now we have Ukraine. Why do we allow this to happen???????

Meanwhile we dont know how to make the chips produced in Taiwan. Neither does China or Russia but our countries have reached a point that without them we can't function.

We allow because we don't know any better

The so called savior just said he thinks interest rates are too high and he would potentially pressure the FED to lower them. He did exactly that in 2019.

Interest rates are still to low.

The wage tiering system is somewhat coming back to haunt them (along with lots of other industries). It’s usually a quick expense fix that most are okay with when implemented as it doesn’t impact any of current players. Eventually the new folks start becoming bigger % of workforce and then there’s animosity all around. Think local news that was covering strike yesterday said start pay was around $16-17/hr. Doesn’t sound great when compared to the $15/hr signs I see for McDonald’s so I’m sure that’s causing some tensions. Of course that’s not completely fair comparison as I don’t know the contract details of what tiering did to benefits. I’m speculating their compensation package is much more generous than fast food but I’d be shocked if new UAW hires have same benefit package as long service employees. One of the biggest expense to the industry (most US manufacturing in fact) are the legacy costs so addressing those with tiered workforce is usually more important than hourly starting pay
