Digital scopes. In my case the ATN day night version combines with their ad on laser range finder.

Its a bit involved to initially set the thing up but it was nice to spend an hour in the shade of some big trees on my home range. After punching in things like scope hight over bore the bullet data like weight ballistic coefficient , running it over a chronological to get the starting velocity , zero distance and a couple of other things. I set up targets from 50 to 370 yards and after letting the scope range them and adjusting the POI , just hold on it and pull the trigger. There was no wind at the range, so I did not have to account for that but the thing is dead on. Tonight I am going to set up the IR illuminator and then I am going to make life tough for the chicken killers and corn thieves on my patch.

Optics planet had a deal going for th 4 k OPMOD pro and they gave you a Deathgrip tripod with it. I am going to try the illuminator that came with it first. I have gun light that uses the same batteries so I have a dozen of those of the rechargeable kind at hand
Eight now the thing sits on a Ar 15 with a 20 inch barrel Wilde chambered and I have it set up for 55 grain Sierra game kings at 3150 ft sec
Shoots half MOA as it right now but the load is not tuned for that rifle so it can do better . But for what I am going to use it for it will be fine

Won't be able to finish the illuminator thing as the neighbor has a broken ball joint on his truck and he does lawn care so needs the thing running .. His missus is on her way back with the parts needed and we will get that thing up and running tonight so he can work in the morning before it gets hot and not fall behind with his lawns / customers.

I have two of them keeping an eye on things here in the fenced in part of the compound. A German and an Anatolian Shepard ... They could do nothing about my corn further down the track though. The way i see it, i will also help the turkey numbers if I take out some predators on my patch. We sure have enough trash pandas and song dogs to go around.

Anyways, thats the truck sorted out but I told him to get an alignment done at some point tomorrow on his travels just to make sure things run true.

I'll play with the IR illuminator tomorrow after dark

Next order of business is to get online to bogs and get tripod. Then you can lounge in lawn chair and shoot away

That is what the rifle is sitting in right now and I used it to zero the thing as well. I have a DIY carry all for the back of my tractor. I can comfortably drive to where I'll set up, put the tripod behind the tractor and plant my butt on the carryall. ( adjust the hight to suit with the 3 point lift )

I know its not the real outdoor experience and all that. But I am going to be sitting there for a purpose and may as well make it comfortable for myself.

As the stock one is 850 nm IR I am guessing that is the wavelength that works best with the light you recommend ???

Those Sniper hog lights really make a heck of a difference. Thanks for the heads up on those. Got 4 trash pandas so far and last night I heard the first coyotes in quite a while soooooo if they hang around, I'll be ruining their nights as well. Some may say that this rig is now to heavy and if I had to walk for miles with t, they would be right. But all I have to do is set up 50 feet behind my workshop trailer and I have a clear view of the power line easement for about 500 yards ..so I leave the rig set up in the trailer and just grab and go.

Its fun and worthwhile to spend some time out there at the fence line with one of the dogs at my side ..... she will tell me when something gets into range. Her eyes and nose still beat those optics at times.

I am thinking of getting a quick teach set of rings for the thing and also set it up for my M1A .. that would make a nice rig for hogs day and night.

I am still waiting for Savel to send me some speedos as I have never owned any.

This land lubber life is not as easy as I was told it would be.
Got to head back down to the coast on Thursday and stay there for a week of yacht life laugh ..... I have to install 2 heads .... does that make me a head mechanic ?? The owner did the blumbear work and I just have to make sparks to make them work.

There are no external wires. The scope runs 18 hours plus on its internal batterie on one charge. I have 6 batteries for the IR light that are rechargeable and they actually last quite a while as well as I don't have it switched on all the time.
Thanks for the video Wolfie.
As I just hunt here on my property at the moment, I can as right now just walk a few feet behind my workshop trailer or sit on the deck on the side of the boat . To other places on the property I can go with the tractor. All critters here know the sound of the tractor and don't bother about it. I nearly tripped over a bedded down deer the other day when I got of the tractor. It was about 5 feet away from where I stopped and would probably have stayed down if I had not stepped off the thing to pick up a fallen branch
