Alberta too lol. I like to anchor them by making them into 2x4 rather than 4x4. People seem to ask what is a good moose gun. My experience is moose are pusses. The should be asking about elk. Imo you cannot be overgunned when it comes to elk unless you like tracking. 338 with a 225 ttsx is my recipe for not tracking lol. Our rifle season opens today. Looking forward to getting out amongst the wapiti's

The 225 Barnes ttsx is what I run in my 338 as well

Yep since I switched to them the only tracking I do is when someone else shoots one.
Did you bugle him in?

Got lucky and caught him chasing a cow across an opening in the pasture. Was just him and that hot cow and they had fed late. Was just getting back as the sun was rising
