I’m putting a pellet stove in a log home. Anyone know the best way to install the pipe through the wall? Cutting a hole isn’t a problem, just curious if there should be some sort of a liner or special sealant after the pipe is installed.

There is a lot of do's and don't when installing one. I recommend doing the research on your question and you will find the safest way to installing one.

Good luck

The piece of hardware used to run a stove pipe through a wall is called a "stove pipe thimble." Google that and you will find your answer. I made my own for a hunting cabin I had but the commercial ones are more attractive and perhaps no more expensive.
