I have a friend that has one and has big time issues with getting the right voltage, so it starts and runs. I'm not if what I described is totally clear but has something to do with the regulation of proper voltage. Something on that order.
It is a two wheel drive not sure of year but an old one but good shape truck.

Do some research most of them are bulletproof, but there's one engine that was natourios for head gasket trouble , wanting to say the 4.3 but I'm not sure if that's right or not. 1988 3.0 v6 recall for head gasket.

I have the 3.4 in my Tacoma with 725,000 + miles on it and I've had no problem with head gaskets. It's a 2000 model. I've had great luck with that engine. If that T-100 has the 3.4, it should be a good one if it was maintained.

Have the remains of a 3.0 hat blew a head gasket after a complete overhaul. Mae it around 20K before blew again. Looked up that engine and found is a trait of it.

Roy- Bought mine in 1997 new. Finally died 2 years back. 300,000 plus reliable miles. 4 foot between the wheel wells for sheet rock and plywood. great truck. What eventually became the Tundra.

The early T100s had the 3.0 v6 in them. We used to say that was a junk motor, but honestly it was only junk compared to the other Toyota motors, it was as good or better than most other brand motors. It was the motor they had a recall on for the headgaskets, and they had a notorious reputation for blowing headgaskets. I've known some claim that if you torqued the head down to a different torque (I'm know tighter, but I don't remember the numbers) that they wouldn't blow headgaskets. Not sure how true that is. The 3.0 was also underpowered for a v6 in a larger pickup, the T100 isn't really a full size, but it is closer to that than to a compact. Consequently they tended to be a dog and get poor mileage with a load. Still I know quite a few 3.0s around with 300,000 on them.
If the one you are looking at has 3.4 in it, in my opinion that is probably the best motor Toyota ever made, again it is thirsty with any sort of load, but it is dang close to bulletproof.

Had a 96 we bought used, great truck but not a true full size truck. The suspension and frame were similar to the Hi-lux, to light for towing a heavy trailer or hauling much weight. When I pulled my car hauler, the frame would flex and the box would nearly hit the cab. Unfortunately I sold it and bought a 71 3/4 ton GMC. later bought a Tacoma for mileage and better ride when not towing. What an idiot, I should have just kept the T-100. In my opinion the only think that killed them is rust or abuse.

TD those little trucks have a cult following and always will. I partnered on a line up in Kansas years ago with a guy who had one. We made it haul a crap ton of fire wood, fur, and white tails. You had to rev it up high like an older jeep before you let the clutch out so I always figured he would eat up clutches but his never did. We abused that little truck and it seemed to thrive on it.

Once in a blue moon will see one for sale around here. They usually look like they escaped from a shredder. Wish they would release the Hilix with a diesel in them for USA sales.

Gave my 1995 T100 4x4 (3.4 V6) to my son. It has near 400,000 miles on it. He doesn't drive it. Just won't get rid of it. But it still runs good.
I put most of those miles on it. It wasn't babied. Just changed oil at regular intervals.
