A friend of mine is thinking of getting one for nuisance beavers. Any input?

I know airport trapper loves his avenger think his is .22 cal

I have a hatsan big bore carnivore in .35 that I use for trapping and absolutely love it. My buddy has the air Venturi and it’s a tack driver. Neither airgun has given us any problems. I think your friend will enjoy it. I had .25 but I moved up to the .35 so I could get a bit more kinetic energy and I shoot 81 grains. It makes for a very quick humane air rifle.

I don't know about the newer models and brands, but I have a Beeman Kodiak 25 caliber I bought almost 25 years ago. It was and still is deadly. Almost never use it any more, but it killed a lot of bobcats back in the day. Not as easy to find pellets for as the 22 caliber (I don't think I've ever seen 25 on a store shelf, have to order them) but it was a big step up in power and killing efficiency. The old spring piston airguns were super hard on scopes, the reverse recoil would tear regular centerfire scopes apart in short order. Had to make sure and get you an airgun scope, and even then they didnt always last.

Anyone know the quietest PCP rifle? Been looking At the FX impact in either .22 or .25 and adding a “suppressor”, just want the quietest option for residential areas.

My marauder in .22 is quiet. I shoot pigeons in hangars and the workers never hear the shots.
