this is a follow-up to Question 1 (If you are God, will you tell me how you wish to be worshiped or will you leave it up to me?)
If we are to leave it up to ourselves, is this the reason we have so many different Christian denominations? Are they all right in the way they worship and Christ leaves it up to our free will? or ............?
not meant to be controversial - I think its a legitimate question
  thanks

Bernie,
To me, that answer is very vague ( no disrespect meant ) Where specifically in the Bible is it outlined how to worship? are there guardrails? Again not meaning to be disrespectful in any way

You love what you worship, so I reckon my answer is the same as my first. Mark 12:30

I don't think there's any right way or wrong way to worship God so long as it comes from your heart. It's like a person who sings a hymn to God in church. He has a terrible singing voice. People may stare at him, but to God his voice is very melodically beautiful because it's heartfelt praise.

David, a man after God's own heart, danced naked through the streets. Just saying. The text doesn't say that.

Jesus did tell his flock how to worship when he taught the Lord's Prayer.

If God cared how he was worshiped, which I see no reason why he would, it would be unmistakable to everyone who ever existed.
Keith And if God actually wants to be worshipped, it would also be unmistakable to everyone who ever existed. Jim

I can not give the book or verses . But I know I've heard many a times that God wants his people to come together to worship him . To keep his people from going astray by following man's law instead of God's law . Left to our own device's man can reason any way he wants to fit his needs . Unfortunately there are a lot of synod's that have went away from God's law to not insult anyone . But they've done more harm than good by trying to appease everyone instead of sticking to God's teachings . Refer to Mathew chapter five . Pretty much sums it up

Bernie,
To me, that answer is very vague ( no disrespect meant ) Where specifically in the Bible is it outlined how to worship? are there guardrails? Again not meaning to be disrespectful in any way It's not vague at all, the entire Bible both old and new testament is full of understanding of who God is and what he wants from us. It's never a good idea to pull specific topics or verses out of context, you have to look at the big picture.
